The new Dean elect of the Faculty of Science is now Prof. Mrs. O. Adedeji from the Department of Botany. She defeated her rival in a keenly contested election at the 317th Meeting of the Faculty Board of Science held on 15th May, 2017. She was a former Head of Department of Botany, former Vice-Dean of the Faculty and former member of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University. She is to resume as the substantive Dean of the Faculty on August 1st, 2017. The Faculty wishes her a successful tenure.
