The finals of the Science Quiz Competition for Secondary Schools across Nigeria was held on 11th June at the beautiful campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. It was supported by the Cway Food and Beverages Nigeria Company Limited.

One hundred and forty seven (147) students in SS2 registered to participate in the first round which took place virtually on March 20, 2024. Thirty-five (35) students qualified for the second round which was also held virtually on April 17, 2024. Only the best 11 students who scored 60% and above were invited for the finals. They were:

1. Ibrahim Abdullahi Olaranwaju – Ansarudeen Society Comprehensive College, Saki, Oyo State
2. Owolabi Oyindamola – Faith Point College, Alimosho, Lagos State
3. Jolayemi Enoch – Master Voice Academy, Abule Egba, Lagos State
4. Bolaji Kehinde Oluwanifemi – St.John’s Comprehensive Academy, Ilesa, Osun State
5. Adebayo David Ayooluwa – Our Lady And Saint Francis Catholic College, Osogbo, Osun State
6. Adebanjo Humar Adeyinka – adl-I-Omar Ahmadiyya College, Ede, Osun State
7. Adesanmi Rachael – Faith Point College, Alimosho, Lagos State
8. Oretuyi Gbotemi – Henry Alex Duduyemi Memorial College, Ile-Ife, Osun State
9. Arowolo Akinola – Unique Minds International College, Opa, Ile-Ife, Osun State
10. Ukaegbu Ugochukwu – St. Francis Catholic Secondary School, Idimu, Lagos State
11. Adejumo AbdulLateef Biodun – Goodwill Private Secondary School, Obaagun, Osun State.

At the end of the competition, Ibrahim Abdullahi Olaranwaju, from Ansarudeen Society Comprehensive College, Saki, Oyo State came first. The second position was clinched by Arowolo Akinola of the Unique Minds International College, Ile-Ife, Osun State while Jolayemi Enoch from Master Voice Academy, Abule Egba, Lagos State came third. They won brand new laptop, tablet and android phone respectively

In addition, all the students went home with different consolation prizes.
